About Senate District 63

This is our Senate District. As you can see, we serve all of Richfield, and parts of Minneapolis and Bloomington. If you would like to see more detail, click on the area to get a larger map of either legislative district. You can find other maps or information in our district library.

We are served by three excellent public servants (Paul Thissen, Linda Slocum, and Dan Larson) who were all elected after receiving DFL support. It is your efforts that keep our candidates in office, fighting for a better Minnesota. The Senate District 63 DFL is committed to keeping great legislators serving Minnesota, and to help further the Democratic vision for our entire state. Although we are only one small district, we know that every little bit counts. The efforts we put forward here in Senate District 63 can have repurcussions throughout Minnesota, and even in the nation's capitol.

Many Minnesotans who share our concern for the future of our state do not yet realize how important they can be in ensuring that success; they work, they vote, they hope that is enough...in uncertain economic times, that is often all they have energy to do. It is to these people that we have to appeal. All of you, as good Democrats, must serve as ambassadors for our cause. Talk to your friends about the good work that the DFL wants to do on behalf of Minnesotans. Spread the word about the atrocities the Republicans are committing in the name of fiscal responsibility. Ask your neighbors whether they would rather have a few more dollars in their pockets or have a better standard of living throughout our great state. Persuade them that there already exists a better vision for the future of Minnesota, and that the DFL is its champion.
